OBITUARY Walter K. Laidlow September 21, 1950 – July 21, 2018 Walter Kenneth “Kenny” Laidlow, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, departed this life after an extended illness on July 21, 2018. Born on September 21, 1950 in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Walter and Joye Laidlow. He was a 1968 graduate of Martinsburg High School and attended Shepherd College.

He joined the Air National Guard in 1969 and was honorably discharged after eight years of service with the rank of Technical Sergeant. Kenny retired from Dupont after 38 years. He attended Bethel Assembly of God for 40 years and was active in Sunday School and Royal Rangers.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Melissa (Tucker) Laidlow; children: Brian Laidlow and wife, Cyndi (Fullam), Jennifer (Laidlow) Montrose and husband, Jim, and Robert Adam Laidlow and wife Stephanie (Benisch); grandchildren: Kathleen Laidlow, Scott Laidlow, Maxwell Montrose, and Lucy Montrose; brother, Lynn Laidlow; sister, Janice (Laidlow) Stephens. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his twin sister, Kathy Pierce. Friends will be received at Rosedale Funeral Home on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 5-7 pm.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery. Kenny believed in and was a lifelong supporter of spreading the Gospel around the world.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Missions at Bethel Assembly of God in Martinsburg.
