Bordentown, NJ Walter Kozachek Sr., 93, of Bordentown, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday morning, October 24, 2018 at Hunterdon Care Center. Mr. Kozachek was born to Dmitri and Melania Kozachek of Monmouth Junction, New Jersey, on March 27, 1925. He graduated from Jamesburg High School and enlisted in the United States Navy.

Walter Kozachek was civically engaged as President and founding member of the Twin W First Aid Squad of West Windsor, New Jersey.

He also participated in the West Windsor Recreation Department as a baseball coach, and served as a Den leader for Cub Scout Troup 66. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling and visiting with his eight children. Walter Kozachek is survived by his children, Jessie Thompson (Edward) of Hopewell, NJ, Walter Kozachek Jr., of Pipersville, PA, William Kozachek of New York, NY Joseph Kozachek and Patricia Suprenant of Storrs, CT, Janet Kozachek and Nathaniel Wallace of Orangeburg, SC Robert Kozachek of Highland Park, NJ Thomas Kozachek (Laura) of Graniteville, MA, and James Kozachek, of Bordentown, NJ, by his three step- children from his second marriage to Gloria Sharp ( Robin, David and Daniel) and by his eight grandchildren: Matthew, Alexander, Camryn, Kira, Elizabeth, Robb, Peter and Amelia Kozachek, and step grandchidren Jennifer and Jesse Armiger.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Agnes, his second wife, Gloria, his father, Dmitri, his mother, Melania, and his brother, Joseph. A memorial service will be held at Dutch Neck Presbyterian Church on Saturday, November 3, at 10:00 AM, followed by internment.
