. thank You Lord for Your grace! ” We solicit your prayers for the family of Mr. Walter Newell, Jr., age 74 of Roanoke Rapids, NC, who transitioned into eternal rest on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC.

Walter, son of the late Walter Newell, Sr. and Minnie Jones Newell, was born December 20, 1944 in Halifax County, NC. A Celebration Honoring the Life and Spirit of Mr. Walter Newell, Jr. will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. from The Memorial Chapel of Cofield Mortuary with Elder Edward Johnson, Jr. giving words of comfort. Mr. Newell will lie in state at the chapel one hour (10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M.) prior to the service and will be laid to rest in The Crestview Memorial Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids, NC.

The Cofield Family and Staff of Cofield Mortuary are honored to provide comfort, assistance and service to The Newell Family.
