Obituary of Wanda Smith Wanda Rae Smith, 87, of Woodville passed away Tuesday December 25, 2018. She was born June 8, 1931 in Bearden, Arkansas to the late Oda Ferrot Watson and Opal Edna Boxx Watson. She was a long time member of Hillister Assembly of God Church.

Wanda loved the Lord and was devoted to her family and church. She is survived by her loving husband, Lyle Smith; sister, Oma Jean Watson Blunt; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; children, Connie Rae Carpenter Allen, Belinda Rae Carpenter Kirchner, Ricky Lawrence Carpenter and Michael Clint Carpenter; sisters, Wilma Louise Watson Staniland, Thelma Lucille Watson Randall and Bonafay Watson; brothers, Hillis Chester Watson, Lester Virgil Watson, Billy Frank Watson and Bobby Oda Ferrot Watson, Jr..

Funeral service will be held Sunday, December 30, 2018, at 2 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Rusty West officiating. Burial will follow at 4:30 Sunday at the Newton City Cemetery in Newton, Texas. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018, from 5 – 7 pm at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby West, Jake Johnson, James Largent, Glen Tyler, Tracy Smith, and Wyatt Allain.
