Obituary for Warren Lamar Beach Warren Lamar Beach, 96, of Warminster, PA, passed away on December 27, 2018 in Doylestown Hospital, shortly after surgery to repair a fractured hip, which he’d suffered just the day prior, following a fall at home. He was born in Tremont, PA on June 5, 1922, to Fred Beach and Stella Bonawitz Beach, the oldest of five children. He attended school in Llewellyn, PA and joined the US Army in 1942, assigned to the 819th Tank Destroyer Battalion.

He was stationed on the island of Peleliu in the Pacific Ocean and in Hawaii. He attended many military funerals as the company bugler, playing Taps for the fallen soldiers. He returned home and in 1946 married his childhood sweetheart, Doris Rodgers, the daughter of John Rodgers and Grace Kuehn, from Minersville, PA.

They had five children, Cheryl Prus, Cathy Goodyear (James), Lynn Beach, Scott Beach, and Jeffrey Beach (Denise Zuccato. ) He worked as a heavy equipment mechanic, a district service manager, and an equipment salesman. He enjoyed spending time at his cabin in Schuylkill Haven, PA, where he loved to hunt, fish, grow vegetables, and enjoy the company of family and friends.

Warren and Doris loved to travel in their RV, eventually spending winters in Florida. He was a member of the Masons and the VFW. After the death of his wife Doris, he enjoyed the companionship of Myrtle Roeder.

He is survived by his 5 children, one brother (Howard), 11 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Doris, a sister, two brothers, and his grandson David Finney. He was well loved and will be terribly missed.

A funeral service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1000 W. Main Street, Lansdale, PA at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 3, 2019.
