Obituary for Wayne Atlas Bean Print Wayne Bean, age 86, of Granite Falls, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 15, 2019, in Cary N.C. He was born July 28, 1932, son of the late Henry Thomas and Vonnie Kirby Bean. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol Lynn Yount Bean; two brothers, Thad and Gwyn Avery Bean and a sister Shirley Starnes.
Those left to cherish his memory are two sons, Gwyn Bean (Lisa) of Franklin, TN, Rodney Bean (Janice) of Cary, NC; one sister, Connie McRany of Granite Falls; three grandchildren, Avery Edward Bean, Christopher James Bean and Ashley Lynn Bean. The family will receive friends at First United Methodist Church, Granite Falls, on Friday, February 22, 2019 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev.
Howard Fleming and Rev. Chris Hilderman officiating. Burial will be at Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Hudson, N.C. With Military Honors by DAV Chapter 6 of Caldwell County and DAV Chapter 84 of Taylorsville, N.C. Mackie Funeral Home is serving the family.
