Wayne Earl Baker, 71, of Frankfort, passed away at his residence Monday, April 23, 2018. He was born in Vigo County on February 3, 1947 to the late Robert and Ruth (Zenor) Baker. He served in the United States Air Force.

Wayne worked as an independent contractor in fiber optics. The majority of his work would come from major storm repair for telecommunication companies. Wayne enjoyed restoring and tinkering with cars.

Wayne is survived by his children, Logan (Courtney) Baker, of Frankfort, Matt (Jan) Baker, of Goshen, and Amanda Lee, of Terre Haute; siblings, Don Baker, Ron Baker, Delores Cotton, and Diana (Heath) Heckelsburg; and grandchildren, Ezra Baker, Hannah Lee, an Ryan Lee. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 4:00 p.m. to the start of the memorial service at 6:00 p.m. Online condolences may be directed to www. gendafuneralhome.com.
