Saunders passed away Friday February 1, 2019 at his home. Born in Catskill February 26, 1942 in Catskill, New York to the late Clifford and Esther (Davison) Saunders. He graduated in 1960 from New Lebanon Central High School in Lebanon Springs, NY.

Wayne served in the United States Air force from 1965 to 1969. He was an aircraft navigation systems technician, stationed at Otis Air force base in Massachusetts, and Tahkli Air force base in Thailand. He retired from Smith Printing in Kingston, and was employed by Bank of America processing New York State Tax returns.

Wayne is survived by his brother James R. Saunders, and his wife Patricia,and nephew Michael of Chesilhurst, New Jersey. Also surviving are best friends George Ellsworth of Kingston and Wayne and Colleen Lazrus of Saugerties, His Kitty buddies, Annie and Chopper. Cremation arrangements are under the guidance of Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc. 27 Smith avenue Kingston.
