Wayne Robert Goedeke, age 83, passed away Wednesday, April 18th, 2018, at St. Nicholas Hospital. He was born in the Town of Herman on July 3rd, 1934 to parents Robert and Margaret (Damrow) Goedeke. Wayne attended school at Millersville grade school and graduated from Howards Grove High School in 1952.

He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Kober on May 28, 1955 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove. Wayne worked at Kohler Company, Western Electric and Tecumseh. Wayne and his… Read More » brother-in-law, Lloyd Luecke, founded and owned Howards Grove Improvement Company in 1960.

Wayne retired from the Howards Grove Improvement Company in 1997. Wayne was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove. He was an avid sports fan, having played baseball and basketball in high school.

A devoted father, he immensely enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports. He also enjoyed watching the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf.

Wayne loved giving back to the community, giving his time as a past member and leader to the Howards Grove Athletic Association, Millersville Rec Association, Lakeshore Driftbusters, Sheboygan Elks and Howards Grove Lions. Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann; five children, Todd Goedeke, Kim Goedeke, Tad (Diane) Goedeke, Robert (Mary) Goedeke, and Jon (Lisa) Goedeke; eleven grandchildren, Zack and Luke Goedeke; Isis Lynn (Sean) Nosair; Elijah (Christine) Lynn; Kelly and Joe Goedeke; Willy, Elly and Jed Goedeke; Lily and Nina Goedeke; three great grandchildren, Ethan Lynn, Jade Lynn, Malik Nosiar and one great granddaughter on the way. He is further survived by one brother Earl (Jan) Goedeke; two sisters, Jude (Bill) Berray, and Christine Hayner; three sisters-in-law, Carol (Jim) Berge, Judy (Lloyd) Luecke, and Karen Berg; three brothers-in-law, Jack (Sue) Kober, Gary (Theresa) Kober and Steven Kober.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law Jacob Kober; mother-in-law Arlene Reinemann Kober; brothers-in-law Richard Kober and Thomas Kober. The family would like to thank St. Nicholas Hospital for their care and support. A funeral service for Wayne will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2018, at 3:00 PM at Zimmer Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd, Howards Grove with Rev.

Darrel Bergelin officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, at the funeral home, from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Entombment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
