OBITUARY Wildy Luke Templet October 7, 1924 – January 30, 2019 Wildy Luke Templet, 94, a native and resident of Pierre Part, passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. Wildy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great-grandfather, sibling and friend. Throughout his life he accomplished many achievements.

He served as a deputy for the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s office, US Navy World War II on USS Yorktown, American Legion, Levee Board Atchafalaya, Board of Commissioner and Water Works Dist. of Assumption. Wildy was a building contractor who built several houses and businesses.

He also built steam boats which are located in museums in Plaquemine and Morgan City. He was the author of a book he published titled Pierre Part Belle River Down Home. Wildy researched genealogy and historian of several different families.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 72 years, Hilda Landry Templet; three sons, Kenneth J. Templet (Georgana), Douglas D. Templet (Connie) and Mark A. Templet (Linda); six grandchildren, Kenno Templet (Michelle), Kevin Templet (Stephanie), Kelley T. Bright (Jason), Danny Templet (Jenny), Penny Templet and Victoria T. Ramagos (Matt); eleven great grandchildren, Jacob Templet (Tori), Jonathan Templet (Mindy), Jordyn Templet, Grace Templet, Ashlyn Templet, Andrew Bright, Ava Bright, Ansley Bright, Noah Templet, Joshua Templet and Landon Ramagos; three great-great grandchildren, McKenna Templet, Ellie Templet and Jasper Templet; seven siblings, Virgis Millien, Anite D’Antoni, Anaise LeBlanc, Lucy Templet Casteigne, Delta Templet Chenny, Rivers Templet and Jessie Joseph Templet. He is preceded in death by his parents, Justillien and Clemence Templet; granddaughter, Jenny Lynn Templet; siblings, Augustine “Goose” Templet, Audry Ann Templet and Lillian Templet Weil. The family would like to thank Cardinal Hospice, her caregivers: Kristy Hue, Kelsey Breaux, Jada Breaux, Tracee Crochet, Father Al Davidson and the staff at St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, the bereavement committee and Veronica Wells.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part from 8:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Interment to follow in the church mausoleum.
