William’s Obituary William Alexander (Alex) Gamble, a resident of Tuscaloosa, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2019. Alex was born in Montgomery, Alabama on November 9, 1995 and spent his childhood in Mobile, Alabama. He attended UMS-Wright Preparatory School and Murphy High School in Mobile before relocating to Corpus Christi, Texas in his senior year, where he graduated from Mary Carroll High School.

Alex was a member of the UMS-Wright middle school football teams and was most proud of his membership on the UMS-Wright Junior Varsity Golf Team. He also participated in the Robert Trent Jones Junior Golf Tour, Emerald Coast Golf Tour, and South Texas PGA Junior Golf Tour. Alex attended college at Austin Community College in Austin, Texas and Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Alex was greatly loved by his family and friends. His kindness, gentleness, pureness, and jovial nature brought joy to those who knew him. These qualities allowed Alex to quickly make friends as he moved from Alabama to Texas and serve as an inspiration to his survivors.

Alex was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl and Ruby Gamble. Survivors include his parents, Debra Gamble and John Gamble; brother, John Taylor Gamble; step-mother, Heather Graham Gamble; grandparents, Barbara and Charlie Rickard; and aunts, uncles, and cousins including Jeanne and DeWayne Burkhalter, Teresa and Michael Jackson, Kathy Rickard and Bill Peisner, Tim and Sunny Rickard, Tim and Tena Busch, Joshua, Amy, Kelsey and David Burkhalter, Blake and Kati Smith, Jennifer Rickard-Figueroa, Jordan Rickard-Peisner, and Tina and William Rickard. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at the Grace Presbyterian Church, 113 Hargrove Road, Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the University of Alabama William Alexander Gamble Scholarship Fund, Box 870122, Tuscaloosa, AL 35487 in lieu of flowers.
