William “Bill” Roy Lux April 12, 1933 – February 03, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Upload Photo| Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card William “Bill” Roy Lux, 85, of Machesney Park passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019, in his home, surrounded by his family. Born April 12, 1933, in Rockford, the son of Bernard M. and Gladys E. (Speake) Lux. Veteran of the Korean conflict, serving in the U.S. Army.

Married Druscilla J. Herbert on August 30, 1953, in Loves Park. Employed by Harbor Apartments, Ledges Golf Course and Ingersoll Milling Machine, all for many years. Member of Grace Lutheran Church, Long Lake Lutheran Church in Sedona, Wis.

Former member of Rockford Moose. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, skiing, woodworking and 4-wheeling. He loved his home on Bear Lake in Haugen, Wis.

Avid Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packer fan. He enjoyed a good Manhattan. Survivors include his daughters, Julie Reed, Connie Lux, Kelly Lux and Dusty Blakley; grandchildren, Tom (Shelbie) Reed, Chad (Neva) Blakley and Jeremy Blakley; numerous nieces and nephews; and feline companion, Shay.

Predeceased by his wife; sister, Donna Hill; and faithful dog, Chloe. The family wishes to thank all the first responders and caregivers that took care of dad. As per his request, no services are scheduled.

Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Noah’s Ark.
