William “Brian” Stanger, of Kent, WA passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 30th, 2018 at the age of 68. Brian was born to parents William Stanger & Marilyn Lukas on March, 13th, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois. He grew up as the eldest & only son of their four children.

After high school, Brian served in the U.S. Navy before beginning his education in Respiratory Therapy. He worked as both a certified & registered Respiratory Therapist in many hospitals throughout California… Read More » & Washington. In 1980, Brian earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Redlands.

During the late 90’s, Brian sought a career change & became a licensed Real Estate broker for nearly 12 years before eventually returning to Respiratory Therapy. Brian married his forever love, Kerry, in 1980, and the couple raised four children together. Brian was a devoted and loving husband and dad.

He was a one of a kind Boompa to his grandchildren. He loved playing baseball, listening to music, & enjoying a good cigar. He was a longtime Chicago Bears fan, an avid reader, & so much more.

Brian’s family & friends will always remember him as a social, fun-loving, free-spirited man who’s family meant everything to him. His presence will be missed more than words can express. Brian is survived by his wife of nearly 38 years, Kerry; his children, daughter, Jennifer & husband Jason; son, Jared; daughter, Julie & husband Derrick; and son, Jeff & fiancé Lisa; his grandchildren, Lucas, Tyler, Noah, Devin, & Brayden; mother, Marilyn; sisters, Sharee, Sue, & Kathy.

He was preceded in death by his father, William, & step-father Jim. A Celebration of Brian’s life is scheduled at an open house on Apr. 28, 2:30pm – 5:30pm, in his home, 12522 SE 209th Ct.

Kent, WA 98031. Family & friends are all invited to attend.
