OBITUARY William Dean Bercot May 9, 1929 – October 15, 2018 W. Dean Bercot, 89, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018 at Community Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Mr. Bercot was born on May 9, 1929 in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada to Earl and Virginia (Rudolph) Bercot. Dean graduated from High School in Gull Lake and then continued his education at International Business College in Fort Wayne where he received his Associates Degree.

He served his country honorably with the United States Army from 1951-1953. On June 16, 1962, he married the love of his life, Doris Gibs at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne. Dean worked for Bercot Gibson Construction as a chief financial officer from 1961-2018 before retiring.

He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne. Dean enjoyed book keeping, helping people with their taxes, and tedious accounting work. He was an avid read and loved to spend time with his family and loved ones at his Witmer Lake home.

Survivors include his Sons; Scott (Robyn) Bercot of Fishers, IN, and Philip Bercot of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Grandchildren; Dean Patrick, Max Thomas, Elyse Doris, and Bruce Warren Bercot all of Fishers, IN, and several nieces and nephews. Dean was preceded in death by his wife, parents, siblings and their spouses; John (Danni), Bruce (Marg), Donald, Paul (Ruth) Bercot, Betty (Bryce) Connick, and Ruth (Doug) Stephenson. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 from 4-8pm at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park, 4017 Maplecrest Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46815.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 11:00am with calling one hour prior from 10-11:00am at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3425 Crescent Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805. Burial will take place at Highland Park Cemetery in Fort Wayne. Officiating the services will be Pastor Mark Neubacher.
