William E. Meehan, 82, of Brockton, died March 3, 2019. The son of the late William Henry Meehan and Sara R. (Doran) Meehan, he was born in Boston. Though not able to live independently, “Billy” was cared for very well by his late sister Helen (Meehan) Kolczewski and her children.

Billy loved the Red Sox and was a pleasant and gentle soul. He was popular among the other residents at The Guardian Center where he lived for over 19 years. He leaves his eight nieces and nephews, Nancy Kolczewski (and Michael MacAleese), Susan Lussier (and Bill), Kathleen Kolczewski (and Kevin Hayes), Helen Figueroa (and Robert), Jon Kolczewski, all of Brockton, Joseph Kolczewski (and Donna) of Whitman, William Kolczewski (and Barbara) of Dedham, Edward Kolczewski (and Diane) of Hyde Park, many grandnieces and grandnephews, and his Guardian Center family.

All are welcome to gather on Thursday, March 7th at 9 a.m. for a 9:30 a.m. prayer service at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Boston.
