Obituary for William Franklin “Bill” Vance Vance, William Franklin “Bill”, age 83, of Beavercreek, passed away on Tuesday, December 11th, 2018. Bill was born on December 14th, 1934 to Leatha (Watts) and Absalom Vance in Harts Creek, West Virginia, where his love for hunting, fishing, and all-things outdoors began. Bill was a wonderful and generous man that would never allow anyone to deny those who called him “Papaw”.
He truly loved his grandkids and was always their most dedicated fan, no matter what sport or hobby he was cheering for. Bill also loved going to church with his wife of 61 years, Deloris Vance. He is also survived by one daughter Lisa Lutz (Jim) of Bellbrook, 6 grandchildren, Brittany, Jamie (Amber), Cheyenne, Dakota, Makayla, and Cierra, 2 great-grandchildren Mason William and Onyx Ray, 4 honorary great-grandchildren Chandler, Landen, Lyla, and Jenna, brothers Elisha, Elijah, Kenny (Jenny), Tommy (Mary), sister Nancy Taylor (Gary), special family friend Lori Blackburn, and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Absalom and Leatha Vance, brothers Owen, Patrick, and Chester, and sisters Hazel and Louella. To help the family celebrate his life, you are invited to share stories and memories of Bill during the visitation at Apostolics of Xenia Church (AX), 978 US 42 South, Xenia, on Friday, December 14th, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 am Saturday, December 15th, 2018 at Apostolics of Xenia Church (AX) with burial following at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
