On Sunday, June 17, 2018, William G. Lighthiser passed away. He was the beloved husband of the late Louise Marie Lighthiser; loving father of Elaine Marie Cofske and her husband John, Gary Eugene Lighthiser, and his wife Tammy, Dawn Marie Roberts, and her late husband Glen, Timothy William Lighthiser; cherished Pop Pop of Tiffany Marie Rice and her husband Craig, Danielle Mae Phillips, and her husband Michael, Justin Glen Roberts, and his wife Caryn, & Samantha Dearing, and her husband Jesse; great grandfather of Elizabeth Phillips, Parker Allen Rice, & Piper Amelia Rice (on the way); dear brother of Joyce Linsenmeyer and her husband Frank, & the late Elmer Lighthiser, Jr He is also survived by many loving relatives and friends.

Bill loved to go camping especially up in Lake George, NY, in Pigeon Forge, TN, and in Four Winds Club in Port Royal, VA. He loved the majesty and beauty of the landscapes around him; most of all the mountains. He had a big spot in his heart for his dogs Molly and Tiny.

Bill was a true patriot. He honorably and faithfully served his country in the Army and loved this nation. Most of all, his family and his friends meant the most to him.

Bill will be sorely missed by all of those who were lucky enough to know him.
