Longtime Monte Vista resident William Glenn Remick, 67, passed away on April 19, 2019. He was born on February 8, 1952 in Monte Vista, Colorado to Thomas and Rosemary Remick. William was a self-employed contractor and part owner of Jackson and Remick Construction Company based out of Monte Vista.

He was a member of the Monte Vista Elk’s Lodge. William enjoyed working in his yard, building, reading, taking long rides in the country and especially loved his time spent with his family and grandchildren. He had a passion for passing on his knowledge and past experiences to his family.

William is survived by his wife Ernestine Coleman of Monte Vista, his children, Kristi Zimmerman of Durango, Billy (Diana) Remick of La Junta, Matthew (Maranda) Blotter of Sugarland, Texas, Karen Duran of Monte Vista, Jacklyn (Seth) Coleman of Montrose, Lesley (Ryan) Gilbert of Canon City, Derek Coleman of Monte Vista and Michelle Houchins of Phoenix, Arizona, his grandchildren, Megan Zimmerman, Kelby Zimmerman, Rayann Remick, Riley Remick, Ryan Remick, Noah Barrett, Trish French, Rebecca Vigil, Duncan Wheeler, Eli Gilbert, Milo Gilbert, Aidn Houchins, Lillian Blotter and Alexis Blotter, his brothers, Lance (Sandy) Remick and Larry (Cindy) Remick as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son-in-law Mike Zimmerman. Cremation was selected and a private family service will be held at a later time.
