William L. Hesling, age 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 24, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 24, 1927 in Flint, Michigan, the son of the late William Hesling and Mary Gardner Hesling. Bill was an inspector for the Buick Corporation in Flint, Michigan for many years.

He was proud to service his country in the US Marine Corp during WWII. Bill is survived by his sons, William Hesling (Robin) of Schuylerville, NY, Nicholas Hesling (Jennifer) of Colorado; daughter, Maryanne Hesling of Malta; brothers, Jim Hesling (Trudy) of Florida, Charles Hesling (Wendy); three grandchildren, 11 step-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his three sisters, Dorothy Harris, Minnie Cuytas and Helen Peterson.

A funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave. ), Saratoga Springs, NY.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:00 pm at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
