Obituary for William Lee Fields William Lee Fields 72 of Sonora, KY passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018 surrounded by family. He is preceded in death by one son, Lanny Dean Fields, his parents, William Clarence and Pangie Fields, and three brothers, Lonnie Fields, Merritt Fields, and James Henry Armour. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Imogene Fields, three children, Genia (Darren) Cottrell of Bonnieville, Keith (Amanda) Fields of Upton, and Cindy Fields of Brandenburg.

Eight grandchildren, Morgan, Millie, Mason, Calib, Dylan, Jeffrey, Gauge, and Luke. Five great grandchildren, one sister, Shirlene (Renzel) Willis of Clarkson, and one brother, Ricky (Tammy) Fields of Upton. William was strong in his faith and was a loyal servant of the Lord.

At the age of fourteen, the Lord saved his soul at Hiawatha Missionary Baptist Church of Louisville, Ky. William was a member of Bolton Missionary Baptist Church for 23 years and served as a deacon for the church as well. William was a lifelong farmer and worked at Crucible Magnetics in Elizabethtown for 26 years.

He also worked at NSU in Sonora for 7. 5 years until he retired. He was also called Papaw and loved by so many children that were taken care of at their in-home daycare.

He shared that love for each one of them and treated them like his own. Visitation will be Friday December 14, 2018 at Manakee Funeral Home in Upton starting at 11 am for family and friends until 8pm est. Saturday December 15, 2018 visitation starts at 9am and continues until the funeral at 2pm est.

The funeral will be officiated by Brother Glenn Stasel and Brother Tommy Molden. Burial will follow at Sonora Cemetery. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of William Lee Fields please visit our Sympathy Store.
