William P. Blanchard, 94, a lifelong resident of Jersey City, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018. William was a retired diesel mechanic for Penske in Linden. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

William loved spending time at home with family and also enjoyed woodworking and being handy. William was the beloved husband of 69 years to the late Ann Blanchard (nee Scrufari); devoted father of William, Michael (Ret. JCFD), Paul and Thomas Blanchard; dear brother-in-law of Bunny Juchniewicz.

Also survived by many loving grandchildren. Visitation will be on Monday, November 26, 2018, 4:00pm to 8:00pm at RIOTTO FUNERAL HOME & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd. , Jersey City, NJ 07306.

Funeral will begin on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, 10:00am at the funeral home and a Religious Service will begin in the funeral home at 10:30am. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.
