OBITUARY William R Addis III November 16, 1953 – September 12, 2018 William R. Addis III, 64,of Hicksville, formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2018 at Hickory Creek of Hicksville. He was born November 16, 1953 in Fort Wayne to the late William R. and Wavabelle (Ditzenberger) Addis, II. He worked 32 years for Dietriech Industries.

He was a member of Hicksville Eagles and enjoyed short track racing. He loved spending time visiting the Toledo Zoo and Indiana Beach. Playing cards with family and friends was one of his favorite pastimes.

Surviving are his son Jeremy (Dana) Addis; siblings, Becky (Bill) Hall, Dennis (Deb) Addis, Greg (Jennie) Addis, and Jeff Addis; step children, Robert (Lana) Addis, Charles (Sheryl) Addis, and Michelle (Christopher) Maggart; and three grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Addis. Funeral service will be Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804 with visitation 2 hours prior.

Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Preferred Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Research Foundation. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.
