William Sant “Pinky” Lyle, Sr. of Sparta, Illinois passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Sparta Community Hospital in Sparta, Illinois, having attained the age of 65 years, 5 months and 28 days. Born in Red Bud, Illinois on March 29, 1953, he was the son of William Carl and Patricia Lyle, nee Glenn. He was united in marriage to Linda Grahlherr on August 12, 1978 in Sparta, Illinois and she survives his passing.

He was a dock worker for Gilster-Mary Lee. Preceding him in death were his parents. Surviving are his wife, Linda Lyle of Sparta, Illinois; his children, William Sant Lyle of Sparta, Illinois, Brandon (Katie) Rogers of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Bonnie Mae (Frank) Lyle of Carbondale, Illinois; his brothers, Jim (Carol) Lyle of Yuba City, California, Bob (Chris) Bierman of New Athens, Illinois and Gene (Alma Little) Lyle of Ruma, Illinois; his grandchildren, Breanna Hall of Steelville, Illinois, Malcolm Henry with the United States Air Force stationed in Japan and Manzell Henry of Carbondale, Illinois, nieces, nephews and many friends.

All services will be private. The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
