Obituary for William Thomas “Bill” Curley III William Thomas ‘Bill’ Curley, III, 70, of Ft. Worth, TX, passed away May 14, 2018. He was born in Lake Providence, LA on June 21, 1947 to the late Roberta Buchanan and the late William T. Curley.

William Curley married Johnie Marie Jones of Oak Grove, LA on March 12, 1971. They had two sons, Maurice and Mario. William graduated from Combs McIntyre High School.

He also attended Grambling College where he was an avid member of the marching band earning the privilege to march in the first Super Bowl. He was a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity. He had a passion for playing chess, bowling, and socializing with family, schoolmates, and other friends.

William worked at the Department of Corrections in Tulsa, OK. He also worked at Memorex Telex. He was retired.

William was proceeded in death by his mother, Roberta Buchanan Howard, father, William T. Curley, and brother, Charles Buford ‘Joe’ Buchanan. He is survived by his beloved wife, Johnie Marie, sons, Maurice (Richelle) and Mario; grandchildren, Alexia, Kiarra, and DeAngelo Curley, Tori Delonia, Dajah and ShaMaurey Hooks; and great-grandchildren, R’reille, Payzleigh, Ma’siah, Markel, and Braylin. He is survived by sisters, Nancy Foster Ard, Deborah Foster (Bruce) Davis, and Clevesta ‘Lilly’ Foster, and brothers, Eddie Lee Howard, W.L. (Judith), and James ‘J.B.’ Buchanan.
