William “Bill” Wah Hee Siu, 88, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away, Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Nuuanu Hale Care Home Facility. Bill was born on October 27, 1930 in Honolulu, Hawaii to In and Mary Siu. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1948, and graduated from the University of Hawaii Manoa with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 1952 and a Master’s Degree in social work in 1954.

He served in the Hawaii Army National Guard for about 10 years. On November 10, 1970 he eloped and married Juliana Tabalan in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bill was employed as a social worker for the State of Hawaii and was able to retire early.

Before he married, Bill loved to travel with his older sister, Lena. He also loved his food…all kinds, especially sashimi and sushi. He was really close with all of his siblings and always made time for his nieces and nephew.

There were many memories shared of how he took them out to places, brunches and dinners, gifts, and spending quality time. By the time he was in his forties, he was ready to settle down. He finally got married and was blessed with four children, 2 girls and 2 boys.

He fell into the Family Man role naturally as he would often spend time with them going to playgrounds, parks, movies, the beach, and even taking family trips. Bill was a loyal, caring, fun-loving, and generous man…generous with his money, support, and love, especially for his family and friends. There are so many fond memories of Bill and he will truly be missed.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:30 pm, Saturday, June 8 at Valley of the Temples Mortuary, Top Chapel, 47-200 Kahekili Highway, Kaneohe, Hawaii 96744. Burial will take place at 2:00pm, same location, with reception to follow. Bill is survived by his ex-wife Juliana Arreola and her husband Armando.

He is lovingly remembered by his four children, Reyna Austria and her husband Drew, Michelle Naito and her husband Michael, Christopher Siu, and Jeffery Siu, his brother Lawrence “Junny” Siu and his wife Sandra, all of his nieces, nephew, and his 4 grandchildren, Luis “Kaleo” Casanova, Cedric Toledo, Cyler Siu-Padello, and Ella Naito.
