Obituary of William Farmer William C. “Bill” Farmer, 77, of Iowa City, passed away April 15, 2018. Bill was born March 20, 1941 in Harlan County Kentucky; son of Eugene and Violet Farmer. After high school he served an enlistment in the US Air Force.

He served the Iowa City community as an Iowa City fire fighter for many years, until his retirement in 1988. In 1998 he married Sheila Carson in Iowa City. His family includes his wife, Sheila; son, Mark Farmer (Heather) of Arizona; daughter, Michelle Campbell (Dan) of Centerville, IA; step-daughter, Shawn Reynolds (Chris) of Lone Tree and grandchildren, Jacob, Charlie, Tyler and Makenzie.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jean O’Connor and brother, Stan Farmer. Following Bill’s wishes no public services will be held. Memorial contributions in Bill’s memory may be made to an organization of your choice.
