Obituary of William Vogt William M. Vogt, 86, of Oakbrook Commons entered into eternal life on Friday, December 28, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Troy, NY on March 7, 1932 and was the son of the late William A. and Helen Knapp Vogt, Jr He was a 1950 graduate of LaSalle Institute and attended Louisiana Poly Tech, while in the U.S. Air Force.

Bill was employed as a Production Planner at General Electric in Waterford, NY for 38 years retiring in 1994. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force where he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. Bill was a LaSalle Alumni, a member of the 112th Street Friends of Lansingburgh, the CCHS Boosters club and the CCHS Athletic Hall of Fame Recipient, member of the Purple Heart of Lansingburgh, and the Troy Elks lodge BPOE #141.

Bill was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Crescent and formerly of St. Augustine’s in Lansingburgh. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother; Robert Vogt. Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years Anne C. Dinardo Vogt, whom he married on April 24, 1955, two devoted daughters; Annmarie (Timothy) LaCoss and Kathleen Vogt, and his two sisters in law Ann Vogt and Geraldine Dinardo and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Bill’s caregivers Jenn, JoAnn, Leslie, Christian and Kelley who made his final journey comfortable. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 11: 00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church Crescent, 84 Churchill Road Waterford. Calling hours will be from 10:00 am.
