Willie Battiest, Jr., 72, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma passed away Monday, May 14, 2018, at his home while surrounded by family. Willie was born to the late Willie Battiest, Sr. and Kissie Walls Battiest on September 15, 1945 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Willie loved his cats, and enjoyed attending Myrtlewood Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School.

Willie also enjoyed witnessing to people, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. Willie is preceded in death by his parents; Willie Battiest, Sr. and Kissie Walls Battiest, brother; Thomas Battiest, sister; Ethel McKinney and, nephews; Stoney and Alex Battiest.

He leaves to cherish his memory, brother; Lawrence Battiest of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Leon Battiest of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and Lee Battiest of Ada, Oklahoma, nephews; Kenneth and wife, Kimberly of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Barry McKinney of Eagletown, Oklahoma, Ricky Lewis of Texarkana, Texas, Carl Battiest of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Lucas Battiest of Broken Bow, Brodee Currence of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Logan Lewis of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Matthew Brandy of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and Randy McKinney of Topeka, Kansas, nieces; Jessica Mackey of Ada, Oklahoma, Kris Brandy of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Kalli Battiest of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Autumn Battiest of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Girlie Battiest of Durant, Oklahoma, Bryana Brandy of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and Darlene Willis of Broken Bow, Oklahoma. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at 2:00 PM at the Christian Fellowship Church in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, with Bro. Melvin Palmer officiating.

Interment will follow at the Myrtlewood Cemetery.
