Willie’s Obituary Our Beloved Mr. Willie Louis Rupert, Sr. known by many as Bill was born November 7, 1936 to Ernest Lemon and Alberta Brown Rupert in West Point, Mississippi he was the tenth child of thirteen children born to this union. Willie departed this life at the North Mississippi Medical Center surrounded by the love and devotion of his family on September 28, 2018. He attended the T.Y. Flemings High School in Minter City, MS.

A former employee of R.D. Seating Company, Tupelo Housing Authority and a retired employee of Elger Plumbing after 20 plus years of service. He enjoyed fishing, eating and visiting his siblings and relatives especially the Rupert Family Reunion which he as one of the patriarchs which was first held in Tupelo, MS. He was a faithful member of the North Green Street Church of Christ where he was baptized in 1963.

He was very loyal to his Church, he was recognized for 50 years of serving, leadership and dedication from 1963-2013, her served as a song leader, the transportation minister for 25 plus years, Sunday School teacher, one of the first ordained Elders of the Church. Willie was married to the Vada Sue Griffin on December 24, 1957 unto the union they were blessed with two children. On December 24, 2017 they were blessed to celebrate their 60th Anniversary.

Willie is survived by his devoted wife, Vada Sue Rupert, Barbara Sue Rupert (Tony) Rhodes; Willie Louise (Celester) Rupert, Jr., his siblings: Henry (Louise) Rupert, Sr., Clara Staples and sister-in-law: Jettie Rupert, five grandchildren, three great- grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by nine siblings, Clarence, Lemon, Collin, Ollie, Homer, Emmett, Mary, Minnie, Christiana, Henry, Clara and Robert Lee.
