Clio, SC Mr. Willie Taylor, Jr., passed away, Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at McLeod Health in Dillon after an illness. He was 78 years old. Mr. Taylor was born in Marlboro County, SC on June 14, 1940.

He was a son of the late Willie Sr. and Laura Scott Taylor. He attended Mt. Elem Baptist Church.

He retired after 34 years of service from Clio Farm Equipment (Southeast Farm Equipment), where he was a mechanic. He enjoyed NASCAR, gardening, fishing, westerns, and wrestling. Mr. Taylor leaves behind to cherish his memory; his wife, Elma Clark Taylor of the home; son, Johnny Taylor of Clio; daughters, Jackie Smith (Dale) of Clio and Wanda Taylor Odom (Prentiss) of Clio; grandchildren, Christopher Quick, Taylor Odom, Joshua Smith, Patrick Smith, and Wayne Odom.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above, daughter, Elizabeth Taylor; brother, James Reedy Taylor. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at 3:00pm at Mt. Elem Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery, officiated by Revs.
