Faye Estock went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at age 84. She is survived by four children, Phyllis (Terrell) Morgan, Mike (Karen) Estock, Helen Burks, and Larry (Leigh) Estock; eight grandchildren, Amy Morgan, Ashley (Adam) Harper, Joshua Burks, Valerie Burks, Dylan (Marylee) Estock, Karli (Jake) Langner, Riley Estock, and Jaxon Estock; one great granddaughter, Ellison Burks; one brother, Larry (Judy) Stirling; one sister, Margaret Tucker; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene “Happy” Estock; one son, John Estock; one granddaughter, Andrea Morgan; her parents, Buford & Verdie Stirling; three brothers, Kyle, David and Ralph Stirling.

Faye loved cooking and it was a joy to her to bake birthday cakes for her family members. She was a wonderful mother not only to her children but to any children who entered her home. She was the matriarch of her family and always willing to lend an ear and give advice.

Faye retired as manager from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama, where she served as a valued leader and friend to many during her career. After retirement, she enjoyed her time with the Trailblazers (a Blue Cross retirement group) and served more than one term as president. She was a loyal friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 4, 2019 at The New Gardendale Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Wilma Faye Estock please visit our Sympathy Store.
