Obituary for Winford “Bud” Richardson Winford “Bud” Richardson, 96, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018. He was born February 24, 1922 to W.H.”Bill” and Chlora (Baker) Richardson in St. John, KS. Bud retired from OTASCO after 40 years of service.

He was the navigator on a Landing Ship Tank (LST764) in the Pacific Theater during WWII. Bud enjoyed playing golf, camping, hunting and fishing, crafting, going for walks, collecting things and talking. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty Fehrenbacher; step-brother, Darrell Davis; and adopted-brother, George Richardson.

Bud is survived by his wife of 72 years, Deane; daughter, Becky (Larry) Findley; step-grandson, Ryan (Shannon) Findley; step-great-grandson, Cooper Findley; adopted-sister, Linda (Lane) Dixon; and lots of nieces and nephews. No services are scheduled. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas Honor Flight, P.O. Box 2371, Hutchinson, KS 67504.
