Winifred Nadine Choice, 98 of Burns Flat, Oklahoma, was born on March 30, 1920 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to C.E. and Susie (Spyres) Mayfield. She passed way on February 11, 2019 in Elk City, Oklahoma. Nadine grew up in Stillwater and attended Oklahoma A & M College (now Oklahoma State University) and worked at Katz Department Store.

While at A & M she majored in Home Economics earning a Bachelor of Science degree. She met Merl (Lawrence Merl Choice) while working at Katz.
