Escamilla, Xavier Esteban “Ziggy” – of Burt, age 13, died Sunday, December 9, 2018 at his residence after a battle with leukemia. Ziggy was born February 15, 2005 in Flint, Michigan and was a resident of the Birch Run area most of his life. He was in the 8th grade at Marshall-Greene Middle School in Birch Run.

He was a member of New Wine Full Gospel Church in Chesaning. Ziggy was a gamer and enjoyed playing his X-box, reading, playing with Legos, also playing with his dogs Scarlett, Butterfly and Chacha and watching Inside Edition. Surviving are: mother, Prescilla Escamilla; siblings: Mirreya Escamilla, Angelina Escamilla, Natalia Escamilla, Vincent Saroki; half sisters Alexandria Saldana and Bianca Saldana; “2nd mother” Vangie Escamilla; many other aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by: his grandfather, Rev. Esteban Escamilla, baby sister, Amirah Saroki; and step father, Armin Saroki. Pastor Jose Rodriguez will officiate at the funeral on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 12PM at New Wine Full Gospel Church, 734 Brady St. in Chesaning.

Burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 1-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of services at 12noon. Contributions in his memory may be made to the family.
