Zella was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 50 years, Kenneth O. Hilgenberg, a great-granddaughter Jadlyn, her parents, and a brother. Zella was a dedicated mother first and foremost.

She treasured all her boys and embraced every moment she had with them. Zella always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went and kept many of those dear friendships till the end of her life.

In addition to being a wonderful mother and homemaker, she was an employee for OG&E, and a member of Council Road Baptist Church. She loved her many associations with OKC organizations such as The Hospitality Club, Christian Women’s Fellowship , Revidere Book Review Club, Lapetite Soeur Book Club, and for many years her weekly women’s bowling league. Most of all she loved her family and instilled in her sons strong values that have served them well.

She will be dearly missed and forever remembered as loving and generous in our hearts.
