Zonell Hendricks Dickerson Ninety three years old of Canyon, Texas died on May 24, 2019. Services will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Brooks Chapel in Canyon. Officiating is Pastor Darren Dye of Freedom Fellowship Church of Canyon.

Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery immediately following the service. Zonell Dickerson was born in Quanah, Texas on July 5, 1925 to Lewis and Lettie Hendricks. She attended school in Quanah, Texas and Norwalk, California.

She graduated from Decatur High School in 1942. She graduated from Foursquare Seminary in Los Angeles, California. Zonell was married to Lloyd Dickerson on July 9, 1948.

They pastored a Foursquare Church for seven years in Texarkana, Texas. In 1955 they were appointed as missionaries to South America. For fifteen years they served in Spanish speaking Bolivia, Honduras, and Colombia.

In 1972 they moved to the Portuguese speaking country of Brazil where they worked for thirty one years. Second only to her husband and five children was the passion of her life, the Bible which she had studied in five languages. She was Dean of the Agape Bible Institute in Campo Mourao, Parana, Brazil for thirty years thus fulfilling her life long dream.

She retired in Canyon, Texas in 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd. She is survived by their five children, their spouses, and their many grandchildren which include: Richard and Judy Dickerson and their children Deana, Christopher, and Andrew; Barbara (Bobbie) and David Dixon and their children Brandon, Michael, and Jennifer and Tom Walling; Janie and Elcio Stocchero and their children Erick and Vanessa, Jonathan and Ceth, and Marc and Izabella; David and Lyn Dickerson and their children Paige, and Stephanie and Bryan Cortez; Ruth and Felix Soliz and their children Audra, Adam, AJ, and Brittany and Ryan Mercier.

Zonell also has many great grandchildren which include: Cooper, Mason, Rebecca, Benjamin, Matthias, Adeline, Khloe, Mia, and Kinley.
