Mr. A. W. “Andy” Hardison, Jr. age 75 of Kennesaw, formerly of Dallas, passed away Friday, May 24, 2019. Mr. Hardison was born May 26, 1943 in Dunn, North Carolina, son of the late Andrew Hardison, Sr. and the late Leta Ivey Hardison. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Hardison was a retired truck driver and a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and camping and loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Mildred Nichols Hardison on July 13, 2015. Survivors include a daughter, Rene Hardison Martin and her husband Scott of Kennesaw; sister, Margie Davis Marchman of Marietta; two grandchildren, Chelsea Martin of Dallas and Chase Martin of Kennesaw; two great-grandchildren, Hudson Frame and Cason Frame both of Dallas; and two nieces, Debbie Thorman of Marietta and Diane Norton of Kennesaw. Funeral services for Mr. Hardison will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Rev.

Brent Edwards officiating. Interment services will follow in the family lot of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery with Brown-Wright American Legion Post 12 Honor Guard in charge of military graveside rites.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:30 p.m. Freeman Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral service for Mr. A.
