Ada’s Obituary Ada Mae Seifert, 89, of Topeka passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019. She was born March 10, 1929 in Woodward, Oklahoma the daughter of William Ernest and Edith Grace Cavin Oehlert. Ada graduated from Washington High School at Salina in 1947.

Ada attended Phillips University at Enid, Oklahoma and later attended classes at Washburn University. She had lived at Salina, Kansas from 1937 until moving to Topeka in 1965. Ada worked for J.C. Penny and later Knoll Welding.

She was the Finance Manager for the Shawnee County Mental Health Center before for over 15 years prior to retiring. She moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas in 1991. She and her husband Dennis returned to Topeka in 2012.

She enjoyed bowling and golf. She and Dennis were charter member of the only American Baptist Church in the state of Arkansas while they lived at Bella Vista. She also sang in the church choir and was the church secretary at Forest Hills Baptist Church as well as the other churches she attended.

She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Topeka. Ada was married to John C. Wooster, they later divorced. She married Dennis J. Seifert, June 14, 1978 at Miami, Oklahoma.

Survivors include her husband Dennis J. Seifert of Topeka; daughters, Cynthia “Suzie” Johnson and her husband Rick, Linda Hardesty, Jane Warkentine, Lorrie Dickey and husband Mike; step-sons, Barry Seifert of Minot, North Dakota and Bradley Seifert of Junction City, Kansas; step-daughters, Teresa Loney and husband John of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, Lisa Seifert of Kansas City, Kansas, Janice Seifert and Melinda Seifert both of McPherson, Kansas; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William Oehlert, Jr. Ada bequeathed her body to the University of Kansas Medical School. A memorial service will be held at Eastside Baptist Church, SE 29th and Pauline Road on February 28th.
