Lois’ Obituary Lois M. Jackson Sewell, age 91, of Topeka passed away Saturday morning, February 2, 2019 at her home in Topeka. Lois was born October 30, 1927 in Emporia the daughter of David D. Shelton and Mabel M. Smith Shelton. Lois married Bill Adams.

After 26 years they divorced. She then married Robert Jackson. He preceded her in death after 25 years.

She then married Virgil Sewell May 20, 2006. He survives. Lois worked as a waitress for Jimmy Knight.

She later worked for Fleming Foods and then managed the Salvation Army Store in Topeka. She was a longtime member of Northland Christian Church. She was a member of FOE Lady’s Auxiliary and the Red Hat Society.

She enjoyed spending time at Pappan’s Landing. She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Adams, two brothers, Dale and Warren and three sisters, Virginia, Wilma and Betty. She is survived by her husband Virgil Sewell; three daughters, Mabel (Larry) Penn of Nacogdoches, TX; Murel (Steve) Brandenburgh of Topeka and Betty (Gary) Domer of Topeka; a step daughter, Jane (Paul) Robertson of Topeka; six grandchildren, Larry JR.

(Paula) Penn, Shawn (Kelly) Alexander, Michelle (Emery) Mozes, David Alexander, Kristy (Andy) Richards, Tommy (Lindsey) Guffey, one step grandson, Ryan (Angie) Robertson; 12 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Memorial services will be Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. Visitation will be one hour before the services from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care or Pappan’s Landing and left in care of the Davidson Funeral Home. davidsonfuneral.com.
