Adam A. Gantick of Lebanon/Mansfield, Connecticut passed away 3 months shy of his 90th birthday on Sunday, February 3rd at home. He was born on May 1, 1929 the son of Aleck and Agnes Gantick of Lebanon, Connecticut. He is predeceased by his parents and son Jim.

He is survived by his brother Ray and wife Irene of Willington. Adam leaves behind his wife, Virginia of 67 years along with sons Ronald and wife Denise of Willington, Christopher of Pawcatuck, CT, and daughter in law Denise of Willington. In addition, he leaves behind three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Adam was employed by Pratt & Whitney Fire Department in East Hartford, retiring in 1990 as a lieutenant. Adam is a life member of Lebanon Volunteer Fire Department. He served as Chief from 1963 to 1966.

In retirement he enjoyed his home, woodworking, The Boston Red Sox, UCONN Women’s Basketball and traveling. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Lebanon Volunteer Fire Department. Calling hours are Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 10:00am to 12:00pm with funeral services at 11am at Potter Funeral Home.
