OBITUARY Adolph A. Calmbacher September 28, 1933 – September 17, 2018 Adolph (Al) Calmbacher of Bardonia, New York passed away on September 17, 2018. He was born in Bronx, New York on September 28, 1933 to Arthur and Alice Calmbacher. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict and retired as a Lieutenant from the New York City Fire Department.

He enjoyed golf, fishing, boating and was a fan of all sports. He is survived by his brothers William Calmbacher and Arthur Calmbacher, nephew William Calmbacher, great nephew Joseph Calmbacher, nieces Alice Hage and Carol Herring, great nephew Conor Stephenson and great niece Aisling Stephenson. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Fletcher.

He will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held on Saturday September 29, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY followed by internment at Gethsemane Cemetery in Congers, New York.
