Adrian Clay Benson Sr. December 12, 1957 – December 30, 2018 Adrian Clay Benson Sr., 61, of Pearl River Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2018, at his home after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Though born and raised in Houma, Louisiana, Adrian was a longtime resident of Slidell, and a recent resident of Pearl River. Cajun through and through, Adrian loved his family, going fishing, and life in the country.

As a longtime member of Journey Fellowship Church, Adrian served his community in many ways. This year, he dedicated himself to the Celebrate Recovery Ministry to help others overcome hurts, hang ups and habits with his own powerful testimony of hope, healing and recovery. Born: December 12, 1957 Death: December 30, 2018 With decades of experience in the commercial landscaping industry and a strong understanding of Horticulture, Adrian enjoyed spending the past 10 years working with Rotolo Consultants, Inc. on projects throughout Southern Louisiana.

He graduated from the Horticulture Technology Program at Delgado Community College in December of 2017. Adrian was preceded in death by his parents: Carl and Jane Benson. He is survived by his wife of twenty- eight years: Martha Benson; three children: Adrian Clay Benson Jr. (Heather), Claire Getman (Bryan), and Nicholas Clay Benson; as well as four grandchildren: Noah Benson, Savannah Benson, Jayce Benson, and Madelyn Kinley Getman.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West Slidell LA, at 11:00am. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 9:00am. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

As a dedicated outdoorsman and as per his wishes, Adrian will be dressed in his usual camo and jeans. His family would like to invite all who attend to do the same.
