Agnes’ Obituary Agnes Angela Bohuslavsky was born on January 28, 1922, in Dwight to Frank and Anna (Bartek) Matulka and passed away on February 8, 2019, in David City at the age of 97 years and 11 days. Agnes grew up in Dwight where she attended Assumption Church School. She worked as a live-in nanny in Butler County until she moved to Lincoln.

It was there that she met Victor Bohuslavsky at a dance. On February 19, 1946, they were married at Assumption Catholic Church in Dwight. They moved to Bellwood where they farmed and Agnes worked at Dale Electronics in Columbus.

They moved to a farm west of Dwight in 1966. Agnes began working at Russell Stover Candies factory in Lincoln and worked at the factory until it closed. Her six children thoroughly enjoyed the $1 boxes of chocolates she brought home from that work.

She then provided in-home health care in the area for several years. Agnes was very family oriented and loved being involved with her grandchildren, attending many dance recitals, sporting events and county fair activities. Her hobbies included baking, cooking, painting ceramics, quilting and crafting.

She was very artistic in her quilting and ceramic endeavors. She enjoyed dancing, especially polkas, and playing bingo. She loved making the grab bags for her family at Christmas.

Agnes was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church at Brainard and of Assumption Church at Dwight. She greatly enjoyed helping with the festivals and dinners at both churches. Agnes served on the Butler County Senior Center Board for several years and was a life member of the Valparaiso American Legion Auxiliary.

Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Victor L.
