Agnes Chapman August 05, 1933 – May 07, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card EUNICE-Funeral services for Agnes Chapman, 86, will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at 11:00 A. M. with the visitation beginning at 9:00 A. M. at Golden Star B. C. in Eunice, LA. Burial will be in St. Joseph B. C. Cemetery in Chataignier, LA. Rev.

Goldman Chapman will officiate the funeral ceremony. Weep not, weep not, she is not dead. She’s resting in the bosom of Jesus, heartbroken, grief stricken Sons, heartbroken, left lonesome daughters, weep no more.

She’s only just gone home. On Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 4:30 A. M., God was looking down from heaven…looking down on all his children and his eyes fell on Sis. Agnes, tossing on her bed of pain.

And God’s heart was touched with pity, with everlasting pity. And, he commanded an Angel, “Call Me Death! ” Death came up, up to the Great White Throne, and waited for God’s command.

And God said: Go down, Death, Go down. Find Agnes, she’s borne her burden in the heat of the day, she’s labored long in my vineyard, & she’s tired… she’s weary. Go down, Death & bring her to me.

Filled with empty wells of loneliness will be 2 sons: Arthur (Mary) Chapman and Landry (Georgette) Chapman of both of Houston, Texas; 3 Daughters: Irma L. Chapman of Lake Charles, LA, Fredia (Alfred) Hamilton and Vernita Chapman both of Lafayette, LA; 1 step-daughter: Leona C. Williams of Lake Charles, LA; 2 step-sons: Rodney ( Carolyn) Chapman of Houston, Texas and Freddie Chapman of Lake Charles, LA; 2 brothers: Talbert Malveaux of Eunice, LA & Albert Malveaux of Denver, CO; 1 sister: Helen Marie Malveaux of Houston, TX; 1 God Daughter: Alicia Goodley Thompson of Lafayette, La; 35 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; 41 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lanis Chapman; her parents Darbes & Minerva Joubert Malveaux; her stepmother, Onelia Fontenot Malveaux; one sister, Lessie Malveaux Edwards; two step daughters, CeAnna Jones and Azella Bennet; one granddaughter, Stephanie Papillon; and one great- granddaughter: Cameron Gabriella Williams.
