OBITUARY Agnes Faye (Dorse) Suttle December 15, 1930 – July 22, 2018 Agnes (Dorse) Suttle, age 87, went joyfully to be with her Lord Jesus and a host of family, friends and loved ones on Sunday, July 22, 2018. She was born on December 15, 1930 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and graduated from Classen High School in 1948. Agnes attended Christian College in Columbia MO before graduating from the University of Oklahoma in 1952 with a BA in Library Science where she also was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority.

She earned a Masters Degree in Library Science from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX along with certification at the University of Houston’s Oil & Gas Institute. Agnes married Charles A. (Chuck) Suttle on June 17, 1951. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother to their three children.

After raising her family Agnes entered the work force specializing in Records Management at Elf Aquitaine/Texasgulf Oil & Gas Company and Texas Children’s Hospital where she retired in 1993. She was a long standing member of Metropolitan Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. In Houston she attended Second Baptist Church and was active in the Joy of Living Bible Study class as well as the Beth Moore Bible Study series.

Fellowship with her sisters in Christ brought her deep joy. Agnes had many special friends as a member of Sigma Phi International Sorority. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Fred Dorse, and her ‘second parents’ Tom and Edna Souther.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Chuck; daughter, Susie and Tom Stalcup; daughter, Sandi and George Arnold; son, Scott Suttle; grandchildren, Matthew Stalcup and wife Kelli, Mark Stalcup and wife Katherine, Grant Suttle, and Allison Suttle; great-grandchildren Kayla and Parker; sister-in law Pat Gill, nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Honorary Pallbearers are her sons-in-law Tom Stalcup and George Arnold, and her grandchildren Matthew, Mark, Grant and Allison. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Joy of Living Bible Study at Second Baptist Church in Houston, TX.

Services will be at Memorial Park Cemetery Historic Chapel in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Monday July 30, 2018 at 10:00 am. Visitation will be on Sunday July 29th from 6-8 pm at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Funeral Directors, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Second Baptist Church at 6400 Woodway in Houston.

FAMILY Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Fred Dorse, and her ‘second parents’ Tom and Edna Souther. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Chuck; daughter, Susie and Tom Stalcup; daughter, Sandi and George Arnold; son, Scott Suttle; grandchildren, Matthew Stalcup and wife Kelli, Mark Stalcup and wife Katherine, Grant Suttle, and Allison Suttle; great-grandchildren Kayla and Parker; sister-in law Pat Gill, nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
