Obituary for Shirley Jene McGee Shirley Jene McGee 70, was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma on Sunday, September 28, 1947 to the union of Jim Miller and Josephine Antwine. On Friday, July 20, 2018 Shirley answered the call of her Heavenly Father and quietly slipped into eternal sleep in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Shirley grew up in Ardmore, Oklahoma and spent her early years there.

In her youth, she was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Ardmore where she remained a member until she moved to Oklahoma City where she became a member of Tabitha Baptist Church. During her many years of membership at Tabitha Baptist Church she was active in the Women’s Missionary Ministry, the youth department and the mass choir. She sang in the choir until her health began failing her.

She was a graduate of Gene Autry High School and during her years of being employed she worked at Patterson Laundry and Cleaners and was a Bus Monitor for the Oklahoma City Public Schools until her retirement. Anyone who knew Shirley knew she was known for drinking Pepsi and Tea and her chosen brand of cigarettes was Salem. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Eulas Ray McGee Sr., and her son; Eulas Ray McGee Jr

She leaves to cherish her memory and her life, her daughter; LaTonya Jene McGee of Oklahoma City, brothers; David Lee (Jannie) of Chicago, Illinois, Elbert Lee (Sally) of Elkhart, Indiana and Wilbert Jershimiah of Oklahoma City, sisters; Dora Dean (Terry) of Oklahoma City and Marsha of Atlanta, Georgia, grandchildren; Antonio McGee, Eulas Ray McGee III, Euneisha Raelin McGee, Louisa Ann McGee, 7 great-grandchildren, aunts; Ethel Bell Antwine, Lillian Hamilton both of Gene Autry, Oklahoma and a host of nieces, nephews family and friends.
