OBITUARY Erika Walda Hendrix November 12, 1926 – July 11, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Erika Walda Hendrix, 91, of Spencer, OK, beloved passed from this Earth to Heaven on July 11, 2018. She was born on November 12, 1926 in Shitomir, Ukraine, to Johon and Hulda Suss. She met the love of her life, Cecil Delbert Hendrix, while he was serving in the Air Force.

Upon Delbert’s return to Tahlequah from Austria, on March 2nd 1950, Delbert married Erika via telephone – he was in Tahlequah and she was in Germany. Erika loved cooking and some of the family favorites were: cinnamon rolls, roast, crepes and German chocolate cake. She also enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren.

Erika was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Mary Bell and Linda Cawdell; son-in-law, LeRoy Bell, grandson, Levi Morrison; great-grandson, Aaron Hendrix; brother, Johonas Suss. Survivors include her children, Delbert Hendrix, Carol Smith, and husband, Karl, Gail Abbott, and John Hendrix; 15 grandchildren, Joel Hendrix, Corey Neller, Ben Smith, Eric Morrison, Brian Smith, Melisha Kenedy, Jesse Abbott, Jennifer Hendrix, Leigh Ann Cook, Ashley Rezaei, Katie Flynt, Chris Bell, Shara Lively, Lisa Bell, and Paige Rice-Hendrix; and too many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews to count; and many more! Words cannot express how much she will be missed.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 16, 2018 at the Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Arlington Memory Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.
