Agnes Joy ‘Coco’ O’Donnell passed away on Wednesday, July 4th, 2018. Coco is predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Antoinette Tagliaferro, her brothers Robert and Joe Tagliaferro. She is survived by her sister Gina Tagliaferro Lohan.

Mother to; son Christopher (Jo), their children Sydney, Alec, Shelby, Alyssa, Marc, and Kennedy; her daughter Meghan (Jiggs) Rogers, their children Van and Fox Rogers; and son Brennan. Although these were her direct decedents there are many to whom she was their second mom, confidant, and dearest friend. Agnes was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on January 2nd, 1942.

She graduated from Baldwin High School then on to Saint John’s School of Nursing completing her RN boards in 1964. Due to her aptitude in neurology and psychology, she was recruited to join one of the first alcoholic/drug units in the country at St John’s hospital. She then went on to work at Mayview State hospital in the mental health department.

Agnes married her first love Dr. Walter F. O’Donnell in 1966 then left nursing to raise her three children. After divorcing she found her soul mate in Paul Price. Coco would later begin a career sharing her creative side by opening the Sewickley Village Florist.

When asked why she chose this path, she would later recall ‘As a young nurse entering a patients room I couldn’t help myself…I had to fix the flowers. ’ Life with Coco was one of fantasy and adventure. Any situation, be it good or bad became a story to tell.

To be around Coco was to be in the presence of love in its truest form. There are people in life we gravitate towards; they make you feel special. That was Coco.

There are those that you go to in difficult times. That was Coco. And then there are those that reach out with love and a laugh before you even know you need it…and that was our Coco.

So we thank this wonderful spirit for blessing our lives with such humor, grace, adventure, and love. “Look for me in the people I have known and loved and when you all think you can’t live without me, then let me live on in your eyes, your minds, and your kindness”. “And remember, your fake plants will die if you don’t pretend to water them”.

Coco O’Donnell In lieu of flowers, Coco would like you to go out and get yourself something special, on her!
