Alan Roy Campbell, Jr., age 82, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019. He was born August 14, 1936 in Riverton Twp. , Mason County, MI to Alan and Mildred (Murphy) Campbell, Sr. Al was a 1955 Scottville High School graduate and U.S. Army Veteran.

On November 8, 1958, he married the former Carol Kaye Nehm in Hart, MI. Al worked for S.D. Warren, where he had many jobs, but his favorite job was running the Number 5 paper machine. He worked there 40 years prior to his retirement and also belonged to the Paperworkers Retirement Organization (PRO), where he had been Trustee.

Al is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carol; 3 children: Robert Campbell of Muskegon, Cindy Blain of Fountain, MI, Donna-Jean (Steven) Pedersen; 2 grandsons: Logan and Taylor Pedersen; sister, Clara Jean Baron of Hesperia; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved Jack Russell Terrier, Bailey. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Richard Blain; 2 sisters: Louise Wicklund and Mary Jane Johnson. A Celebration of Al’s Life will be held later this summer.
