Albert Kearney (Leo) was born on April 11, 1942 in Louisburg, NC and departed his earthly life on May 22, 2019 at JSUMC. He spent his early years in N.C. attending school there before his parents relocated to Asbury Park NJ. After finishing high school he went into the Air Force for 4 years.

After leaving the Air Force, Leo worked at Naval Weapons Station Earle in Colts Neck NJ where he remained and later retired. He was a member of American Legion Post 266. He is predeceased by his wife Pealie who died April 15, 2019, his parents Thomas and Lena Young, a sister Alice and a brother Earl.

He leaves to mourn a daughter Katrina L., a stepdaughter Denise (Nicey), grandson Marcellus, a step granddaughter Sequana, two brothers Charles (Nadia) and Thomas, three sisters Arstena, Arden and Adrienne, 12 nephews, 9 nieces, 9 great nephews, 7 great nieces, 2 great great nephews and 1 great great niece and a host of cousins and friends.
